App Sync™ changes the look of the display whenever a different application is made active. This change is made according to preconfigured or customized settings.
App Sync begins with list of common applications that have settings applied to them. This listing is created by the OEM. As a user switches applications, the screen will change to use settings optimized for that application. As a user's requirements change, the user is able to change the settings that are assigned to any of these applications. Over time, as a user installs and uses new applications, they can be added to the App Sync listing and settings can be applied.
There are two types of settings that can be assigned to applications: Display and Color Gamut settings.
Display Settings. If the display has Viewing Modes, such as Movie, Text, and Gaming, any of these can be assigned to any application. Additionally, OSD-style settings, such as Brightness and Contrast, can be grouped as a user-defined preset and assigned to any application as well.Color Gamut Settings. Some displays have a wide-enough color gamut that smaller, industry-specific gamuts can be utilized. These gamuts can be assigned to specific applications so the display activates that gamut when the application is in use.
