Portrait Displays Welcomes AJA’s ColorBox to the Calman Ready Program with a Custom Calman® Workflow

This collaboration brings advanced functionality to users by seamlessly incorporating AJA ColorBox into Calman calibration software and offering a custom workflow designed to elevate calibration efficiency and improve ease of use.
AJA’s ColorBox is a high-performance color management device designed to meet the color conversion and color correction needs of broadcast, live events, and on-set applications. With a direct connection in Calman, users can now achieve superior color accuracy in a fraction of the time required by traditional calibration methods.
The robust integration leverages AJA’s internal 12-bit pattern generator, transforming the ColorBox into both a high-performance LUT processor and one of the most versatile test pattern sources available. Calman users can now create, store, and set the startup preset– all from within Calman. This streamlines the calibration process, making it more intuitive than ever before.
Calman’s new workflow enables users to generate calibration LUTs in both Full and Narrow ranges, all while ensuring seamless interaction with ColorBox’s built-in scaling, delivering consistent and accurate results across multiple formats.

Calman manages all of the ColorBox’s ten presets and also auto-generates preset names based on target standards to streamline consistent calibration across multiple devices and formats.
