C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 Quick Start Guide

  1. Attach the C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 to your PC using the host USB cable. 
    • Your operating system will automatically detect and install the necessary drivers for the device.  
  2. Launch Calman software.
    • Open the Calman application on your computer from your desktop or by searching for it.

  3. Find the Meter in Calman
    • In the Calman workflow or the Meter Tab, Select ‘Find Meter.’
    • Click the ‘Search’ button.  
  4. Meter Detection
    • Calman will scan for connected devices and detect the C6 HDR2000/HDR5000. 
    • During the connection process, the C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 will flash and then change to solid white once successfully connected.
    • When connected, Calman will display C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 in the Meter tab.
  5. Proceed with Calibration
    • You have now successfully connected to the Portrait Displays C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 meter in Calman and can proceed with your calibration workflow of choice.

Counterweight

The counterweight on the USB cable positions and balances the device against the display.  

  1. Place the C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 on the front of the display.  
  2. Place the counterweight on the back of the display and slide the weight up or down until the counterweight allows the C6 HDR2000/HDR5000 to rest flat on the front of the display in the desired location.
    • Note: Pay attention to the meter when changing the weight position to avoid the meter colliding with the display.

 

Tripod Mounting

    1. A standard ¼” threaded mounting hole can be found on the bottom of the colorimeter. 
    2. Attach the meter to a tripod by screwing it on the mounting stud or use a compatible mounting plate. 
  • Note: Pay attention to the cord when screwing the meter on a mounting stud to not apply pressure on the meter cord attachment.
  1. Tripod height and angle can be changed to position the surface towards the light source at a desired distance.
