Migrating Calman data to a new computer

When upgrading to a new system or reinstalling Calman, preserving your existing data ensures a smooth transition and prevents the loss of important configurations. This guide provides a step-by-step approach to backing up and transferring your Calman data, including essential files and settings that maintain your workflow efficiency.

By following this guide, you will learn how to backup and migrate:

  • Custom Workflows
    • Personalized workflows you’ve designed for specific calibration needs. (Calman Ultimate only)
  • Reports
    • Saved reports used for documentation and analysis.
  • Meter Profiles
    • Custom display profiles for specific meter hardware
    • Note: Due to hardware limitations, some profiles may not work when transferred. In this case you will need to create a new profile using a spectroradiometer
  • Saved Sessions
    • Previously completed calibration sessions for reference.
  • Custom Levels, Colorspaces, and Targets
    • User-defined calibration parameters.
  • Calibration Database
    • A record of all past calibrations for tracking and comparison.
